24hr Hop on Hop off Big Bus Tour - Washington

The open-top deck of a double-decker bus is the best way to see Washington. Sit back and relax as you are transported passed the iconic landmarks that make America’s Capital so recognisable and special.

Along the way, you learn about the City's history by listening to the entertaining and informative commentary on board. Your hop-on, hop-off ticket also provides you the freedom to get off the bus to explore and visit attractions. Buses run regularly so rejoining the tour is very easy.

With your 24hr ticket you will have access to all the sights the city has to offer.

You will have the flexibility to plan you own schedule and to visit the places you find most interesting. Be sure to bring your camera for the many excellent photo opportunities.

Highlights:

Red Loop: The official tour of the National Mall visiting the City’s iconic landmarks.

Blue Loop: Cross the Potomac to visit Arlington Cemetery and the Pentagon. Passes by the Pentagon 911 Memorial.

Yellow Loop: Visit historic Georgetown and a variety of museums.

• You may start your journey at any of the Hop on Hop off points! Simply hand your voucher to the driver in return for your ticket.
• Your ticket is valid for at least 24 hours, so if you start your tour at 2.00pm in the afternoon, you can use the tour until the same time the following day.
• The first bus departs at 9:00am and from then on, buses run approximately every 15 to 30 minutes depending on the Tour Loop and traffic.
• Last departure time is at 5pm for all Day Tours.
• Bus frequency is subject to traffic conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
• One complete loop lasts between approximately 1hr 15mins and 2hr 15mins.

During the Rock n Roll Marathon, event held in the Nation’s Capitol every year, there will be several road closures as well as street detours being conducted in Downtown Washington D.C. Unfortunately the Company has no control over these road closures and we will be doing our best to ensure that you still have an opportunity to explore the city of Washington DC.

We hope that any road closures do not inconvenience you too much.

Hop on Hop off tours are usually in operation daily from 8:30am to 6pm. During the end of November until February the last bus departs at around 5pm.

Bus operation times vary during the annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade during March. Please enquire locally for further info.
