City and Temples Tour - Chiang Mai

Discover the beautiful city of Chiang Mai with this tour of its most significant Temples! During the half-day tour, which includes hotel transfers, you’ll visit the 600-year-old Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, the Wat Suan Dok with its large central staircase, Wat Chedi Luang – parts of which were built in the 15th century and more!

The tour in 700-year-old Chiang Mai begins with a drive up the spectacular mountain road to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep.

This 600-year-old Wat, which sits 3500ft above sea level, is Chiang Mai’s most significant temple.

From the terrace you’ll have panoramic views over the entire city. The climb up the 306 steps (lifts available) of the Naga staircase which is shaped as a Thai mythological dragon-headed serpent is definitely worth it!

Inside is the symbol of the city, a copper-plated Chedi topped by a five-tier gold parasol containing relics of the Lord Buddha.

Back in the city, you'll see the king’s flower garden temple at Wat Saun Dok with a large central Stupa containing Buddhist relics and visit Wat Chedi Louang with its impressive Chedi built in 1411.

At the end of the tour, you’ll be dropped-off at your hotel.

Departure Time: Morning Tour - Hotel pick-up between 8-8.30am. Tour start time is 8.30am. Afternoon Tour - Hotel pick-up between 1-1.30pm. Tour start time is 1.30pm.

Inclusions: Hotel transfers from centrally located hotels and English speaking guide.

Exclusions: Any other services not mentioned above.

Important Information: Proper attire should be long trousers, modest shirts and no footwear inside of the temple.
