Take a journey back in time to the Garrison Historic Area, thought to be the most intact and authentic 18th and 19th Century British Colonial Garrison in the world!
Visit George Washington House, where the 1st President of the United States of America stayed on his only journey off American soil. The wonderfully restored property has beautifully maintained gardens. It is also home to furnishing and other antiques from the 18th Century, recreating Barbadian life from yesteryear.
The tour continues with a trip to the National Guard and The Armoury at St. Ann’s Fort, to view the rarest and quite possibly the largest collection of 18th century English iron cannons in the world! The collection boast over 400 pieces of ordnance, some dating back to as early as 1620 and one in particular considered to be one of the rarest with only two of its kind on record.
