Into the Blue - Snorkelling

The Silfra fissure is one of Iceland’s best kept secrets. Silfra, which is situated in the heart of Þingvellir, the site of the world’s oldest parliament, is an otherworldly scene.

The crystal clear water in the deep fissure gives you a feeling of being weightless as you float down with the lazy current. Frequently rated as one of the worlds top ten dive sites, the Silfra offers up to 100 meters of underwater visibility and is located on top of the separation between Europe and America! After an hour of snorkeling you will climb out and head back to the car. Into the Blue is a relaxing but exotic trip in an environment most will only encounter in their dreams.

Pick-ups from several Reykjavik hotels and guesthouses have been affected by new restrictions imposed by Reykjavík City Council. You will be assigned a nearby bus stop where your transport will meet you instead. Please see the “Pick-Up Points” tab below for the list of affected hotels.

Please note the following important informaton;

For Diving: It is a requirement for all participants to either have a valid drysuit certificate or a drysuit experience within the last two years in order to take part in the dive tour. Proof of this can either be by providing your drysuit card or a log book showng your recent drysuit experience.

For Snorkeling: All participants need to be comfortable in water and be able to swim. Please note that if you are pregnant you will unfortunately not be able to snorkel.

Please note: Occasionally actual days of operation are subject to change. If this is the case we will endeavour to book a day as close as possible to your original preferred day. Should this not be acceptable a full refund will be made.

Tour Information

• Pick-up: 8:30 / 9:30 (15 Jan - 15 Feb)

Please note children under 14 will not be allow to take part in this tour.

When you’ve Booked: You’ll receive an initial confirmation from us immediately. We will then send your booking details to the supplier within 48 hours to request confirmation. Once they confirm that your requested date and ticket is available, we will email your confirmation which will include the local operator’s contact details and any relevant information.
