This excursion takes you to the most beautiful lakes and places within the Salzkammergut Lake District including Fuschl, St. Wolfang, St. Gilgen and the Mondsee and even includes a boat trip on lake Wolfgang if you partake between the end of April and October!
We start our journey visiting Lake Fuschl which was created after the end of the four ice ages and stretches 4kms long. We then move on to the picturesque village of St. Wolfgang where we will enjoy a lovely boat ride on Lake Wolfgang (between May and October only) which is a mere 114 metres at its deepest point.
We then visit the village of St. Gilgen followed by the Krottensee and finally the Mondsee (Moonlake), one of Austria’s last privately owned lakes. Its southwestern shore marks the border between the states of Upper Austria and Salzburg but also between the limestone alps in the south and the sandstone zone of the northern alps. The Dragon wall at the southern shore of this lake is an impressive sight. From here we return to the Mirabellplatz.
IMPORTANT INFO: Please note that we cannot provide pick up services due to government restrictions within Salzburg city – nevertheless the meeting point is located centrally and within walking distance (10-15min) for almost all hotels in Salzburg City.
