A hot air balloon ride is the most romantic way to fly over Las Vegas. Few can resist the attraction as a hundred feet of wispy nylon majestically rises with a dragon-like roar from the propane burners.

There is no sensation of movement, no sensation of rising, rather one of the ground dropping away. Looking up inside the balloon from the wicker basket, the regular shapes of the colorful panels resemble a vast piece of dome- like architecture. There is a great feeling of peace and tranquility, heightened by the lack of wind...because you're moving with it!

Your adventure begins upon arrival at our desert launch site. You will receive a "pre-flight briefing" where you'll learn more about hot-air balloon flight and the history of hot-air ballooning. The crew will begin the inflation process and once the envelope is filled with air, the propane burners are ignited to heat the air inside. Once the balloon is inflated, you will join your pilot in the beautiful hand crafted wicker basket. The luxurious, over-sized basket has plenty of room to allow everyone to enjoy the ride to the fullest.

As you gently leave the Earth, you'll be amazed at how light the balloon feels. During the flight you have an unobstructed 360-degree view of the city proper and the gorgeous landscape that surrounds Las Vegas. The flight will start in the southwest valley lending scenic views of some of Las Vegas’ residential areas, the renowned Las Vegas Strip to the east and the majestic Red Rock Mountains and Red Rock Canyon to the west. The flight time varies from 45 to 75 minutes depending on the time of year and temperature.

Throughout your flight, our ground crews follow over desert lanes and roads so that they can be ready and waiting for you upon landing, always a gala occasion. You are greeted in the traditional manner with flutes of champagne and scrumptious finger food.

Important Information: The Afternoon Flight is currently unavailable due to the unusual weather patterns during Winter in Las Vegas.

This ticket is only available during the months of November - February only.

Important: The pilot will determine the evening before the flight whether it will be going ahead or not due to weather conditions. You will be able to check the status of your flight whilst in resort by calling the number supplied on your voucher. This will also be available for you to confirm pick up times or meeting point.

Departure time: Flights depart between approximately 1pm and 3pm depending on the sunset which is slightly different weekly and the heat levels of course, considering the ability to fly depends on specific thermals.

The basket can hold approximately 12 persons and the basket is divided in sections.

Vegas Balloon Rides offer a hotel shuttle service which is payable locally. Costs are $10 per person for all passengers staying in the downtown or strip properties, and $20 per person for passengers staying in properties in the extreme south end of the strip such as South Point, Grand View & Green Valley Ranch. Note: Special arrangements must be made if the shuttle service is needed for properties not located in the areas listed above, such as Boulder Highway, Sams Town and Boulder Station etc. Payment should be made locally in cash to the driver.

If you require a hotel shuttle you must confirm this in resort at least 72 hours before your scheduled date.

Failure to submit this information may result in guests being refused boarding. Please call our call centre to make a booking and provide these details. 

When you’ve Booked: You’ll receive an initial confirmation from us immediately. We will then send your booking details to the supplier within 48 hours to request confirmation. Once they confirm that your requested date and ticket is available, we will email your confirmation which will include the local operator’s contact details and any relevant information.
